Preoperative diagnosis: Nonhealing burn wound??, as described above, with adherent debris and nonviable tissue.
Postoperative diagnosis: Nonhealing burn wound??, as described above, with adherent debris and nonviable tissue.
Procedure: Debridement of burn area of ??% of total body surface area.
Indications: Removal of slough and exudate to promote healing.
Anesthesia: ??4% topical Lidocaine.
Description of Procedure:
After usual preparation, debridement was performed on the burn area utilizing curette??. The wound was debrided to an acute state with some bleeding from the capillary bed. The patient tolerated the procedure without complication.
Intraoperative findings: Wound bed with nonviable tissue removed.
Material removed: Slough, exudates, and nonviable tissue.
