Still Maintained? Daily note append not working

The Alfred shortcut oj to append to my daily note no longer works
I see the message briefly appear in obsidian that the correct file is opened, However no text is appended. This used to work beautifully.

Alfred version 5.1.3
Obsidian 1.4.16

Given the last commit was 3+ years ago, I don't think it's maintained anymore. It's a shame, as Shimmering Obsidian is very clear about how they do not have any intention to add support for Daily notes and point people to this workflow for that functionality, however if that functionality is broken, there's not really a great solution for it now.
