redirection and limiting seem to make things load infinitely on targeted devices, additionally not listing all devices properly when connecting through a usb wifi adapter #13

i typically use an ethernet cable to access the internet on my computer but i also ended up buying an external wifi adapter for the sake of using netstalker's bandwidth limiting functionality since my computer lacks built in wifi connectivity, however when selecting the adapter at the first screen the app seems to only show my own device and the gateway most of the time, while occasionally some of the other devices appear before disappearing again shortly after, i couldn't really spot any patterns to the behavior but when selecting ethernet as the adapter instead of wifi i get a more proper list of all devices connected to the network that are invisible over the wifi connection, and in either case -albeit more understandably so on the ethernet adapter- using limit/redirect just makes the target lose access to the internet completely rather than just being slowed down.
i don't really know how relevant this is as i don't know anything about networking but ill mention that the modem im using this on has both 2.4ghz and 5ghz connections

attached are images taken seconds apart, one with the wifi adapter and one with ethernet, ill be happy to provide any additional info if needed
