Porting packages from FreeBSD

Is it possible to port packages from FreeBSD here? I'd like to have access to a few more tools that aren't available rn.

It's usually possible; would you give a list of the packages you want, and links to their source code?

I mean there are potentially many packages that would be useful. I don't want to make a huge list for you rn. One thing I would find very useful would be nmap. I'm not sure if the license is an issue or not. If so I'm wondering if I could use it if I make a private repo. Here's the GitHub link for it. https://github.com/nmap/nmap

For nmap specifically: any tool that has the same functionality as traceroute requires being run with root privilege, like traceroute. Since a-Shell cannot provide root privilege, it's impossible to have that kind of tools.

There is a pretty good explanation here by Roger Wolff (the maintainer of mtr): traviscross/mtr#204 (comment)

nmap can run without root privilege, but it's very limited (just a scan of TCP ports).
