super()._prepare_inputs() inGRPOTrainer's usage

I noticed that in the code:

        prompt_inputs = self.processing_class(
            prompts_text, return_tensors="pt", padding=True, padding_side="left", add_special_tokens=False
        )
        prompt_inputs = super()._prepare_inputs(prompt_inputs)

you are using super()._prepare_inputs(prompt_inputs). I want to know what the purpose of this is because when I compare prompt_inputs before and after the processing, they seem identical.
