Boolean operation failed

Boolean operations are not performed on all meshes. 
I get the following error - "Attach point to triangle edge failed".
Perhaps before this I used the wrong convex hull algorithm.
What convex hull algorithm should be used so that Boolean operations are performed correctly for all input data?
