problem with automatic pause

Hi, I noticed a small bug when it freezes to activate the automatic pause.
I noticed that it can't be resumed manually; I had to restart the program for it to resume.
Also, to smooth things out a bit, I added time_sleep 25, but I see that this command no longer works like it did in version 1.0.19.

Is it possible to disable automatic pausing?
Or something similar?
I'm translating a novel.

Hi, thanks for the detailed report. Three things were broken at once, which is why restarting was the only way out.

First, the UI never learned to handle the new rate_limited status, so the progress bar kept spinning even though the translation had paused server-side. Second, because of that the "active translation" flag stayed stuck on, which made the resumable jobs panel display your own paused job as active and grey out its Resume button. Third, the interrupt endpoint only accepted running or queued, so clicking "Interrupt Current and Stop Batch" rejected with the error you saw. The fix wires rate_limited through the UI, lets you interrupt from that state, and adds a "Don't auto-pause on rate limit (HTTP 429)" toggle in the Options panel. With that toggle on, the translation waits Retry-After seconds (or 60 by default) and auto-resumes from the last checkpoint instead of pausing. Equivalent .env knob is AUTO_PAUSE_ON_RATE_LIMIT=false.

About time_sleep 25: the 1.0.20 release replaced the manual sleep with per-provider exponential backoff capped at 60s, which is why your tweak no longer mattered. The new toggle gives you back the "just keep waiting and retrying" behavior you were used to.

Honest disclosure: I verified the fix with a mocked RateLimitError (default pause, auto-resume, and user interrupt during the wait all behave correctly), but I never reproduced a real Gemini 429 in the live UI. Your screenshots are the closest thing I have to ground truth. If you have time to run main against your novel again, I would really appreciate knowing whether Resume now works without restarting, whether the new toggle keeps the translation going through the rate limits, and whether Interrupt behaves sanely if you stop during one of those waits. Sorry for the wait, and thanks again for the screenshots, they made diagnosis a lot easier.
