Inav 9.1.0 alignment tool bug. #11862

Description

@Ripk

Current Behavior

Nexus XR installed pitched 90 deg nose down top of FC facing forward. Alignment corrections entered: roll = -180, pitch = 90, yaw = 0.
When moving correction sliders roll and yaw movements produce exactly the same rotation of the flight controller graphical representation.
FC is mounted a few degrees out of level in the planes roll direction. However, no correction for this can be made by changing any of the 3 settings!
The plane status graphic however, does follow the all movements of the plane correctly and all the control surfaces corrective actions are in the correct direction when the plane is moved in horizon mode.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Place a FC in the nose down attitude.
2.In configurator alignment tool enter roll correction -180 and pitch correction 90
3.Note FC graphic rotation as roll and yaw sliders are moved.
4.Try to influence roll attitude by altering any and all settings (reboot after each attempt).

Expected behavior

When aligning the board to correct for the above orientation the roll and yaw slider movements should produce different rotations of the FC graphic. Any roll deviation should be able to be corrected by altering the roll setting or if needs to be by altering the yaw setting a warning or note added.

Suggested solution(s)

Change code to produce desired effect.

Additional context

Don't have the FC board with me at this time.
  • FC Board name and vendor: Radiomaster Nexus XR
  • INAV version string: 9.1.0
