I currently get around this by forcing a second display with a spare HDMI cable going into my monitor. It's not the most convenient method since the mouse disappears from the stream making it hard to click on things, but using Kodi I simply control the interface with a controller. I'm able to browse the web on my primary display and watch stuff on the CRT. This has been a great workaround so far.
This would be helpful as it would make it easy to do one task on my main monitor but see something else entirely on the CRT TV.
