How to add an icon to appear next to a label in a menu

I have code as below for the power menu button in my top bar. However I am not sure how to get icons alongside the text of each menu. For example instead of "Shutdown" I would also like an icon Widget.Icon(image="system-shutdown-symbolic", pixel_size=20) next to the text. Thanks

I believe it's' not possible due to limitations of the underlying Gio.MenuItem which takes a label: str, unless someone has a creative workaround.
