[Question]: Self-built MCP, ragflow cannot connect

Currently, I am trying to build an MCP service by myself and then add it to Ragflow. I gave it a try: the self-built MCP service can run normally in the local terminal, but an error is displayed on the Ragflow side, as shown in the figure. Does this connection require a fixed HTTPS connection?

Ragflow does not require a fixed HTTPS connection for MCP services—HTTP is fully supported and used in official examples and code, so you can connect your self-built MCP server using plain HTTP URLs without issue (source, source).

The most common cause of connection errors is authentication: Ragflow expects the MCP server to accept an Authorization header in the format Bearer <token> (no extra spaces or quotes). If your MCP server does not require authentication, try entering a dummy token (like test) in the Ragflow UI to ensure the header is well-formed (source). If your MCP server does require a token, make sure the token matches exactly in both the MCP server config and the Ragflow UI.

Also, confirm that the server type (SSE or streamable-http) matches on both sides, and check for any network accessibility issues (for example, Docker/WSL setups may need a reverse proxy like Nginx) (source). If you still see errors, check the MCP server logs for rejected requests or authentication failures.

Please check the authorization token. And check if the IP is pingable in the docker container.

When ragflow connects to a self-built MCP service, ragflow displays "Test MCP error: Connection failed (possibly due to auth error). Please check authentication settings first", and the MCP log shows "Resolved [org.springframework.web.HttpMediaTypeNotAcceptableException: No acceptable representation]". However, the terminal can connect successfully and function properly via curl. How should this be resolved?
