[pnpm](https://pnpm.io/8.x/installation) (must be v8 - not v9!)
This is a dead link.

Looks like the v8 docs are no longer up. Probably time to upgrade pnpm to latest, only reason we haven't is we have a lot of CI that we'll need update at the same time.

Recently had to re-do this for my dev install and must have forgotten my steps so writing it down here:

# Download and install nvm:
curl -o- https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nvm-sh/nvm/v0.40.3/install.sh | bash

# in lieu of restarting the shell
\. "$HOME/.nvm/nvm.sh"

# Download and install Node.js:
nvm install 20

# Verify the Node.js version:
node -v # Should print "v20.19.3".
nvm current # Should print "v20.19.3".

# Download and install pnpm:
corepack enable pnpm@latest-8

# Verify pnpm version:
pnpm -v
