What should this feature add?
The ability for a user to type in math symbols such as +/-*. This would then enable us, for example, to type "512 * 2" and when we click away or press return/enter, the calculation would be performed and the resulting number (1024) would replace the input. This is a feature that exists in most image manipulation software, such as Photoshop and video editing software such as Davinci Resolve and therefore represents a quality of life enhancement.
