Question about material artifact and engineered systems

In the latest release (202502), both "EngineeredSystem" and "MaterialArtifact" have the term "machine" as an example. Is there a rule of thumb to classify a material entity as an engineered system or a material artifact? For example, the term "laptop" is an example of an engineered system, but it is also an example of bfo:object.

I don't think the examples on engineered sytem are correct a laptop and a machine are objects/material artifacts.

The engineered system is something greater than its a collection of material artifacts, like the traffic light system example, where these control the flow of traffic you can add and remove lights as objects but the system still exists.
