Quick switch need

I just want to quickly press alt+tab and switch.
In this case, 'release alt' will not be triggered, so it this cannot be done.
Hopefully, this feature will be supported.

I know. It’s a known limitation that cannot be resolved (I can’t see a solution without wayland protocols or Niri implementing ”on release” bindings). I’ll leave the issue open and hope that it can be resolved some day!

Just FYI, seems like there is fortunately a Niri PR for release and mod-only keybinds that is in a mostly-working state: YaLTeR/niri#1923

So hopefully this should be feasible in the next Niri release or two.

+1 is possible to do a workaround like a fast timeout?

I suppose we could add a timeout that is disabled on the second action. I’ve tried it but I couldn’t get it to ”feel” good. I would accept pull requests that add this feature as long as user can opt out. If I find time I’ll see what I can do
