I got following message in the mac "In the macProblem initializing VimBox. Could not checkout jordwalke/VimBox(branch json)"

+1 -- this happened to me because I didn't have git properly set up on my machine (new laptop). I needed to ssh-add my git private key.

I get this error too. Then the second time I launch VimBox, I get "Problem initializing VimBox, Could not copy over main menu"
