fix for devel branch?

Hi Jacques I am seeing a failure in the build for devel branch. I'd like to
see this book getting handled in r-universe build system if possible. Can
you get it to pass check and then I will open the dialogue about
building with r-universe (see bioc.r-universe.dev). Thanks, Vince

The badge on the github page refers to the book rendering by GHA, not by BBS. Build from the GHA fails (4 days ago) while build on BBS has successfully worked (on the same commit, yesterday). I'm looking into why this happens, so far I don't understand why there is a difference. I've asked the question on the containers channel on Zulip.
