I have tried to emulate my QMK keyboard customisations in kanata, with mostly success. A couple features are missing, e.g., tap-hold combo that trigger the same sequence (hyper), but the tap on one-shot works in kanata using virtual keys and defchordv2, so this is enough for me for now with the built-in keyboard on macOS.
This was working well, until I noticed that kanata seems to block the one-shot modifier hyper key on my QMK keyboard, the hold function still works, but I need the one-shot to trigger actions one-handed, e.g., ji is hyper and hyper-i triggers app-i. However, other one-handed actions with other combos still work as expected.
Is there any reason this would be happening? My config for the QMK keyboard:
