Unable to tap use-defsrc

I'm trying to make a layer where even if you hold a key, it just taps it. But I'm unable to get Kanata to recognize tapping the use-defsrc action, using a virtual key. When using the config below, pressing any key outputs nothing.

My theory is that use-defsrc outputs nothing inside a virtual key because I assume virtual keys aren't assigned a defsrc key.

Yes this is correct, in the future it should be forbidden to do this since it doesn't behave as intended.
