ResourceLock Pool

Hi,
I have a scenario in which I have a pool of (fungible) resources for tests to use. i.e., I don't care about which resource is used by which test, but I do want to limit some tests in the suite to not run if no more resources are available in the pool. Or rather, I'm looking for a way to control the parallelism of a certain set of tests in a suite.

Is it possible to implement a pool of resources for the tests to use without explicitly specifying which test should use which resource? ResourceLocksProvider does not seem to fit the bill currently.

There's no built-in mechanism for this. Since parallel execution uses a ForkJoinPool, I'd try using ForkJoinPool.managedBlock(ManagedBlocker) to acquire a resource from your pool which should at least ensure that the potentially blocked thread is compensated for.

No, that's called too early (during discovery). You'll have to do it from your test or extension code during execution.
