Filter ships on map/webviewer

It would be nice for the more busy areas to be able to filter the shown ships on the map

• Class A / Class B / Both
• Moving / Moored (maybe sub categories, but this for a starter)
• Type of ship
• Others? Speed? Name? Country? Length/Width? Destination?

The first and second could help a lot and make the replay function nicer because the screen is less busy

Yes, good suggestion. I think it has also been flagged elsewhere to add a filter function, so it is on the to do list. But indeed, with animation becomes even more useful. Also want to add ship outlines to the animations before the next release.

If you reload your page and go to the config, the filter page is empty (pressing reset fills it). If you go to the config via the filter button on the main screen the data is there, should be an easy fix

The ship card has been refreshed, tracks can be colored based on speed and there is a ticker bar that shows which ships are changing their static data (e.g. new detination, ETA, status).

Maybe put the Distance under the AIS Source section? So it's clear it's the distance from the AIS Source and not the distance the ship has sailed or something like that

I see a lot of draught changes to or from 0 or staying the same, which doesn't seem correct (and missing a decimal), because when looking at the ship card the draught is still there. Also when the ship card card is aligned top left corner, it has some spacing around it, until you open it, then it glues to the side, stays the same when you close it again

Being able to move the ticker to other location on the screen would be nice, like on the bottom

working on it already and pushed some changes (bar can be at the bottom), tomorrow night will continue. not sure where the 0 draughts come from though....

Here an example of rapid changing draught, since the decimal is visible it's now mostly not 0 but 0.2 or 0.3 with the ships I'm seeing

The ship sends out a Message Type 5 with a draught of 0.2 and a Msg type 8/200/10 with a draught of 1.2m. That seems to be the pattern for this station.

Maybe for vessels sending out this inland message, we ignore draught from message type 5.....

I have added a rule that if draught has been set by an inland AIS message, it is not overwritten by a message 5 static message. In theory the inland message has a higher precision (1cm vs 10 cm) but it looks like draught in message 5 is often not correctly set at all for inland vessels.

Hi, I noticed you merged the webviewer and community frontend, but some data seems to be different, we added some (inland) info to the webviewer, like ENI, Blue sign, more ship types and some other things iirc, but these are not shown on the community site. Also the decimal for the draught and course is missing. Maybe the data is not feeded correctly? from the local to the community site or the parsing is not available there. Two examples

Thanks. I am created shared UI elements so that the look and feel is the same. The backend systems are still different (and essentially on the server I run an older version. Need to figure out how to get that updated as a next step. And see again this issue with a speed for a basestation. We solved that in the local webviewers but not yet on the server. Thanks for flagging.
