@ktgw0316 Beta3 starts in Ubuntu 24.04 but is returned this error when I try to bring up raw files, although TIFF files open/edit, both Canon and Sony:

The Windows version starts and crashes here on windows 10 and 11. It creates a log file, if this is of any help.

@ktgw0316 @MJacal Yes, it's helpful! Comparing it to the Ubuntu 24.04 version, they are running different Java versions apparently. First is the Ubuntu version, second is the Windows version.

As this bug occurs in native (C++) code, it is very difficult to debug.

The program starts for a few seconds, creates the default LigtZone\Templates folder in Documents (that I removed/renamed) and an registry entry at

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\lightcrafts

that I have also removed, but this entry lacks the expected settings data.

Then it dies.

Tried on windows 10 and 11.

I'm getting this error on my Elementary OS v7.1 (Ubuntu 22.04 variant) when running LightZone Beta 2:

Error: LinkageError occurred while loading main class com.lightcrafts.platform.linux.LinuxLauncher
java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: com/lightcrafts/platform/linux/LinuxLauncher has been compiled by a more recent version of the Java Runtime (class file version 61.0), this version of the Java Runtime only recognizes class file versions up to 55.0

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello.

Just installed the updated LZ version LightZone-5.0.0beta3-20250525-windows-64bit.msi. It is working fine for me...on an Acer TravelMate P2 notebook with AMD Ryzen 5500U and Windows 11 Pro 24H2.

I noticed that the splash screens on startup and the about LZ menu option DO NOT mention the LZ version? Screen captures attached.

And as always, very thankful for Masahiro Kitagawa for keeping LZ alive and working all these years!
