Description

@ulyfm

Punctuation and diacritical marks are used in the English language, so it makes sense for TypingTest to include an option to use them. The diacritical marks used in English are as follows:

acute accent: é, as in née

grave accent: è as in changèd

circumflex: ô as in entrepôt

diaeresis: ö as in coöperate

macron: ā as in Māori

breve: ŏ as in drŏll

umlaut: ü as in über

cedilla: ç as in comme ça

There are also some letters and ligatures you are missing:

thorn: þ as in þe old

æ as in encyclopædia

œ as in diarrhœa

Finally, some punctuation marks:

apostrophe: '

brackets: [] () {} ⟨⟩

colon: :

comma: ,

em dash: —

en dash: –

ellipsis: …

exclamation mark: !

period: .

hyphen: -

question mark: ?

quotation marks: "

semicolon: ;

slash: /
