Feature Request: Retrieve Prompts by Topic, Description, or Metadata in MCP Server

Hi Langfuse Team,

I’d like to propose a feature enhancement for the MCP server. Currently, it allows retrieving prompts by their name and then getting their content.

The idea is to extend this functionality to allow users to query prompts by topic, description, or metadata. This would enable use cases such as:

“List me the prompts that could help me with [specific task/goal].”

The MCP server would then return a list of relevant prompts, ideally including both their name and content.

This feature would make it easier for users to discover and leverage prompts dynamically based on their current needs, without knowing the exact prompt names in advance.

Potential Benefits:

• Easier prompt discovery based on tasks or topics
• Improved usability and flexibility of the MCP server
• Enables more intelligent and context-aware prompt retrieval

It would be great to discuss the feasibility.
