[Question] What is the intended design purpose of Advanced Prompt Mode and correct way to write few-shot examples?

Question

I'd like to understand the original design intent behind the Advanced Prompt Mode, specifically:

1. What problem was it designed to solve that Simple Mode doesn't address?
2. What is the correct way to structure few-shot examples in Advanced mode?

Background

From the code and UI, it appears Advanced Mode allows creating arbitrary sequences of System/User/Assistant messages. However, I've noticed that:

• If I create just an Assistant message with instructions, it causes output confusion
• If I create User-Assistant pairs for few-shot examples, it seems to work correctly
• Simple Mode completely ignores any Assistant role content

What I'd Like to Confirm

1. Is Advanced Mode specifically designed for creating few-shot learning examples with complete User-Assistant pairs?
2. Is it considered an anti-pattern to have standalone Assistant messages without a preceding User message?
3. Should the following structure be considered the only correct way to use Advanced Mode?
