Release as a standalone app #54
Comments
Hi witoldsz, Thank you very much for your comment, I'm glad you like this plugin :-). Regarding the "visibility" of the project, I must admit that I spend the small amount of free time I have mostly on maintaining this plugin rather than promoting it. Best regards, |
One more thing: I guess it would be a nice favor for current users if all the new versions were released also for older NetBeans releases. For example, in NetBeans 8.0 there is only old version of this plugin. Given that each new release is so much better and better, it forces users to uncomfortable process of downloading and installing new version of NB just to get it. I know personally two users which use NetBeans only for NBMongo :) |
Hi Witold, I'll publish a release of the last plugin version for NetBeans 8.0 (the porting should be trivial here). Best regards, |
Excellent! :) |
In the meantime I just published the plugin last version for NetBeans 8.0. It will be available in the update center as soon as it has been reviewed by the NB team. |
The nbmongo project is really good. NetBeans is also good, but as far as I can tell, people using other IDE's are having hard time installing NetBeans even if it's just to host the "nbmongo". What's worse, they won't even find this when looking for a "MongoDB client app" or something similar.
I guess it could help this project if it was released also as a standalone application.
