In the wrk test scenario, .lapis showed a performance difference of about 100% compared to pure OpenResty. Is the slowdown due to route resolution?

I would need to see a sample app to tell you what's going on. Route resolution is typically negligible in a full web app, as you're typically bottle-necked by database operations.

That aside, if you have a hot route where performance is critical then I recommend creating a nginx location directly and putting the minimal amount of Lua code in the handler to accomplish your task. You can still use parts of lapis with invoking the full Application request lifecycle. Just keep in mind if you need do things that reuse connections, eg. databases, redis, then you need to manually trigger the run_after_dispatch function to release any resources

Lapis is already excellent for my business scenario. After my testing, the performance bottleneck at the framework level is indeed unrelated to routing (because performance doesn't decrease with the increase in the number of routes). I'm just curious why it's so much slower than Nginx's location service.

My tests suggest that it is indeed unrelated to routing, because 100 routers and 1 router have the same speed.

Can you also show the location that is used to serve the app. (A full nginx config would be most helpful so I can see any other options that might be set)

Also, can you share your benchmark results so I can see what % difference you're seeing
