External Matugen config wont be used

I have skwd-wall installed with yay on Arch. And at first everything works. But it wont load my own Matugen Config, which i want to use for generating the rest of templates that arent already in skwd-wall.

Thank you a ton for the report. It seems like I have inadvertently nulled the matugen string, but I have a lot of other changes in flight right now so will take a while to fix.

In the meantime you can add the Matugen call under the external tab under "Commands", where the wallpaper placeholders are available for your external Matugen call :)

e.g.

matugen -c YourMatugenConfigPath image %path%

the problem is that under the external command matugen -c ~/.config/matugen/config.toml image %path% also doesnt work. But the external command in general, like i tested it with mkdir ~/temp and when i changed the wallpaper with skwd-wall it generated the folder.

Yes!! @tchris15 i had the same issue from what i am thinking skwd-wall isn't picking up the paths we give it.

Fix:

In your .config directory there will be a skwd-wall folder and in that folder there is a config.json file pen it and add these lines according to you matugen confile.toml path ofcourse.

and after that restart skwd. It fixed it for me hope this also works for you also.

I've been deep down the rabbit hole but this should work natively now. If you could test it that'd be sweet :)
Also if external commands don't work, could you try a non-Matugen command? e.g. "firefox" or something to see that it actually runs commands on your system?

I can test if it works when I have the time for it. But normal external commands work, like I said for example the command mkdir ~/temp did generate this directory on a wallpaper change

okay so i tested it right now again. btw i have right now the aur package r85.44ddaed-1. Okay so the external command like mkdir ~/temp still worked and now in external commands my command matugen -c ~/.config/matugen/config.toml image %path% --source-color-index 0 also works. But it need the --source-color-index flag. But the matugen call still doesnt work. when i give it the exact same command it doesnt work, so for me its fixed in external command but not in the matugen tab. i hope this can help so in someway

The plot thickens :) I'm sure it is something very obvious I have overlooked... I will get back to you. Also what Matugen command do you expect to run outside of Skwd-wall if it didn't exist, and does it work through say your terminal?
