a unified push server like ntfy is usally self-hosted and is pre-configured to listen to a “channel”, there is no ongoing chat. the job of the agent would be to report on success/failure of a task (publish to the channel)

eg: weekly agents task is to ssh into a server and update/upgrade a software. on completion of the task, the agent pushes to the subscribing channel if the task was completed or if any errors were encountered
