How about grouping by email?

I dont get, why so many git tools are grouping by names and not the mail. 

My gitlab user-name is shortened. My local user-name in .gitconfig is the full name.

Both are the same mail adress. Yet, I see me 2 times in every statistic.



Maybe make it configureable? Would be really nice.
