[Feature request] Add brightness step / amount / % to lxqt-config-brightness 💡

When I run lxqt-config-brightness -d or lxqt-config-brightness -i, the backlight brightness decreases or increases in very small steps - about 2% of the maximum brightness in my case.

When using these commands in keyboard shortcuts to adjust the display brightness, the adjustment feels extremely slow and requires pressing the keys many times to reach the desired level.

It would be great if lxqt-config-brightness supported an additional argument after -d or -i to specify the step size. For example, lxqt-config-brightness -d 10 could decrease brightness by 10%, while omitting the value would use the default step.

I'm also affected by this issue. The default ~2% step requires 30+ key presses to go from minimum to maximum brightness. While brightnessctl works as a workaround, having native support in lxqt-config-brightness would maintain LXQt's self-containment without requiring external dependencies.

Pressing for a long time is too long too? Usually I use the touchpad scroll over the icon in the panel (backlight), but when using the keyboard I don't use repeated presses.

Just to clarify: I'm not doing repeated presses — I hold the key down (long press). But even with a long press it's still tedious, because each step is only ~2%, so it takes a long time to go from min to max. That's the whole point of the request: a bigger step (e.g. -i 10) would make even a long press usable.
And yes, I know about the backlight plugin in the panel and the scroll trick — but not everyone uses that panel plugin, so keyboard support with a configurable step would still be the proper fix.

I've been using a simple workaround: I wrote a Python script that accepts a numeric parameter after -d and -i (as suggested in my feature request) and reads / writes directly to the first device found in /sys/class/backlight/*. It works as a drop-in replacement to lxqt-config-brightness. It works great on my old Chromebook, where I use the brightness keys to change larger brightness values and Shift + brightness key to change at the smallest increments. It is fast, precise, and convenient.
