Not clear exactly how to do this yet, but this is a feature we would need eventually (be able to rotate and scale at the very least using the cursor).
Suggestion (inspired from Inkscape): When you click once on a mapping you select it and can move its vertices freely. When you click again, it switches to the transformation mode. Then the vertices become ways to rotate the figure and scale it at the same time.
