Breaking down the tasks of the first TODO (MVD) into smaller tasks

If I perceived the general opinion in the dev team correctly, the goal is to make the MVD run independently of GitHub Actions on a vanilla Kubernetes. Please correct me if I am wrong here.
The GitHub workflow for the deployment serves as a red thread for us and here I see the building of the image as the first step. To stay as close as possible to a vanilla Kubernetes and the deployment, I would work with Kubernetes jobs and build the images with buildah and then push them to the container registry with Skopeo. Even though some partners here may already have more complex Tekton/Ansible/.. pipelines for the build process, we can keep it generic like this.

Are there any other opinions on this for a start into porting?

I agree that we should stick as close as we can to a pipeline that can be used on vanilla Kubernetes.
Is there an incentive from other project partners to have a defined deployment standard like proposed by Felix?
