Hi there,
I am a huge fan of Mcpi but I also wanted to use it with newer Minecraft versions and I was always missing some features (such as pvp settings, more events, etc.).
So, I have been working on a replacement for the last year or so and recently decided to publish the package (now that I added documentation and tests):

Introducing the Minecraft Protobuf Queries (MCPQ) package and plugin for the Java edition!
It breaks with the interface of Mcpi a bit and instead uses classes more extensively for operations on players, entities, events and worlds. It is also build on protocol buffers to communicate with the server, which allow for faster and also multi-threaded communication. However, it is not longer compatible with the Pi version, for that use Mcpi.
I have been using it with the Java version 1.20.1 for some time now, so it works for newer Minecraft versions and I plan on updating it as appropriate, feedback is welcome!

Thank you to Mcpi and RaspberryJuice for being an inspiration and for the great times!
