Hey man. I came across your project today. Really cool. There was definitely a need for a convenient, highly configurable alternative/fork of Native Alpha. I hope you don’t plan to abandon this project. All I can wish you is good luck with further development!

Not sure if you’re interested, but I have a few ideas you could add to Peel:

1. It would be great to be able to add custom content-block/filter lists, like EasyList, as implemented in Native Alpha or Webspace (as shown in the screenshot). That would give more control: let users add their own filter lists to each sandbox or group.
   

2. It would also be nice to support custom user agents. I’m not sure how feasible it is to do that per container or sandbox, but it sounds cool.

3. Lastly, it annoys me that sites seem to pick up my Android system language, so the interface of every site in the app follows the system language. I want sites to default to English, or Spanish, for example.

As @JonnyTech said, in Peel I added support for Firefox extensions, so you can install uBlock or any other ad-blocking solution. These have many more options and customizations. Many extensions also support per-site settings, which you can access using the floating button. For example, in uBlock you can hide any element on the page, which is very useful for me.

Currently, extensions work at a global level, so the limitation is that we cannot enable or disable extensions per web app. Site-specific configuration is the responsibility of the extension itself. This is a GeckoView limitation, so we cannot change this behavior unless Mozilla adds this feature to the engine. If they add per-website extension support, I will add it ito Peel mmediately.

There are also many other useful extensions. For example, I already received feedback from people using Peel with YouTube, the Background Playback option, the Video Background Playback Fix extension, and SponsorBlock. This lets them play YouTube videos without ads and in the background. I think this is a really funny use of my app

I definitely do not plan to abandon this project, because I made it for myself and I use it every day. The project is free and open source. It does not include any analytics, tracking, or third-party libraries except GeckoView. It will be updated frequently to keep the tech stack current, and it will continue in this direction.

This is possible, but I am not sure whether it can be a per-web-app setting. I will check and add it.

@Kr1shtan Both are implemented, but unfortunately locale overriding is only a global option, because Gecko only supports it instance-wide.
