Account for `!` in image syntax

Markdown images are normally embedded with a bang (`![name](url)`), which is not accounted for. What ends up happening is that the bang is kept regardless.

While this project doesn't seem to have the goal of working with regular markdown files, hiding the bang might be a small improvement.
