DAFoam 4.0

I hope you are doing well.

I am currently using DAFoam 3.1.2 and was able to successfully run the periodic hill tutorial. However, after updating to DAFoam 4.0, I encountered issues running the same tutorial. Additionally, after updating to DAFoam 4.0, not all DAFoam tests passed successfully, with an error specifically occurring in DApimpleFoam.

I would greatly appreciate your guidance on this issue. Thank you for your time and support.

The same issue happened when I test it with DAFoam 4.0. The periodic hill tutorial can not running. It notified me that there is no model named SpalartAllmarasFv3FieldInversion. And when I have intalled the DAFoam 4.0 and tested it, it prompt an error that DAPimpleDyMFoam test failed!

DAFoam v4 does have the FI capability, but its interface changes a bit. I just updated the PeriodicHill case for the DAFoam tutorials repo. Please run the latest.

Thank you very much for your answer. Additionally, I have observed that in dafoamV4 there is a folder named $DAFOAM_ROOT_PATH/repos/newTurbModels. If I want to add a new turbulence model in dafoam, is it sufficient to simply add it to this folder?
