Disallow consecutive linebreaks?

Hi we are using mdx-editor in a application and then react-markdown to render the it when not in edit mode.

It seems to be non to squash consecutive linebreakes to a single linebreak? is there someway to disable this functionality in mdx-editor or someway to ensure that react-markdown renders the same way as mdx-editor?

Or is there someway to the the renderer that mdx-editor uses on its own without the edit functions?
