[Issue]: Icon name confusion on Linux #1106

@somepaulo

Description

@somepaulo

Issue

MEGAsync uses mega for its application icon name on Linux. The same name is used since 1994 by the MEGA (Molecular Evolutionary Genetics Analysis) software. This results in the two applications using the same icon on Linux distros when installed on the same system.

Summary

Please consider renaming the MEGAsync application icon on Linux installations to something other than just mega. Thank you!

Steps to Reproduce (For Bug Reports)

  1. Install MEGA
  2. Install MEGAsync
  3. See two apps with the same icon

What happened?

Both applications use the same icon, which confuses users.

What did you expect to happen?

Each application should use their own icon.

Environment Details

  • OS: Arch Linux
  • MEGASync Version: 6.0.0.3
