Good point. I worked with @apuiggro some time ago, and he already had his environment set up. When I was going to test his code, I couldn't find a list of dependencies, so I had to inspect his code and slowly install.package, try again, install.package, etc.. Maybe renv could be used for the dependencies, or just a list of libraries and versions documented somewhere.

Hi there!, thanks for your valuable feedback. I fully agree, specific documentation is still lacking. With this regard, your contributions will be welcome. In the meantime, please find a conda yaml file for your perusal. To create the conda environment, just navigate to the directory where the metaclip.yml file is located and run the following command:

conda env create -f metaclip.yml

Once the environment is created, activate it with:

conda activate metaclip

and metaclipR should run smoothly, at least in Linux environments (the image has been created in Ubuntu 22)

Just let me know if this solution could help and runs fine, and I will try to prepare a conda recipe to ease installation.
