When using the ‘Play melody’ block in MakeCode it is possible to get to a situation where the block is on the stage, not placed in a container block, and you are not able to select other blocks or delete the melody block
Repro steps:
- Go to makecode in CreateAI (Android)
- Drag out the Play melody block
- Either place the block on the stage or a container block
- Drag out the musical note block from the melody
- Try to move this to another node or to delete
- This block is now blocking all interaction with the stage and block menu
- It can’t be deleted
Feedback from the Teacher, they had a similar issue but with variables and duplicating blocks. Further testing seems to show that it is dragging out or dragging over another block that swaps a block/ variables or the lozenge shaped blocks from their parents. When this happens audio stops playing when tapping or interacting with blocks.
