I upgraded from version 0.3.2.40226 to 0.3.3.40226 and this behaviour is happening so it was likely introduced to 0.3.3. I think it might be the line

  • Allow third-party apps to request first-party tokens after explicit user consent

But I am unsure about that.

If I press cancel, the app works like normal, but having to do this every time is a bit of a pain.

So it is: 3rd party app --> open --> prompted to login to a Google account --> cancel --> functions normally

Prior to this, for pretty much all the old versions, I never have been prompted to do this. The only time was when I actually tried to enter a google account under microG --> Google Accounts --> Add Google account - that is if I were to add a google account.

Is there any way to block the popup from occurring that maybe I am missing in the settings?

I am not sure if this should be requested as an enhancement or rather a bug. I see #2648 has some related information but as an enhancement.
