Hi! We've identified this issue as a duplicate of another one that already exists on this Issue Tracker. This specific instance is being closed in favor of tracking the concern over on the referenced thread. Thanks for your report! |

Thanks for the reply. I am new to this but could you tell me the name of
the thread that is its duplicate? I am not suggesting anything fancy about
multiple monitors or brightness change on power switching. Just a simple
slider for brightness positioned right above the volume slider as it was
before 24H2 intervened.
Thanks for the reply

Description of the new feature / enhancement
Microsoft has removed the brightness slider for desktop computers in windows 11 (above the volume slider).
Please could you add a brightness slider app to PowerToys that will sit in the same location - above the volume slider - on desktops. I like the Twinkle Tray: Brightness Slider, for example, because it is small and uses few resources.
Scenario when this would be used?
I like to reduce brightness as my eyes get tired. The current app in windows 11 24H2 alters the colour, which I dislike.
