Will Edit eventually make its way to Microsoft's linux repo?

I'm referring to this which I only just learned about. Apparently, it's where my current Linux distro gets a MS's packages, and if micro was available there, it'd end up in the repos of any distros or users that use it. I know 'installing' edit is as simple as downloading it and making sure it's executable. But having it more available in repos is still even less hassle.

Would love to see this added to the repo as I'm already pulling several items from there during system setup.
