Is Microsoft Garnet Compatible with IDistributedCache in ASP.NET Core8?

I tried using Microsoft Garnet with IDistributedCache in .NET Core 8, but a simple StringSet operation failed.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a workaround?

I'm assuming you're using Microsoft.Extensions.Caching.StackExchangeRedis; please let me know which library version you're using. In particular, note that the 9.x builds include targets for net8.0, and includes a change to remove Lua usage, which specifically aims at working with Garnet. So: if you're not already: try using the 9.x library; does this still fail? If so: exactly what happens?

Yes, I'm currently using Microsoft.Extensions.Caching.StackExchangeRedis version 8.x. I'll upgrade to the 9.x version and let you know how it goes. Thanks!
