Mez file not created when creating new project

Hi there,
I installed your addon in the latest version from vscode market place. When I then create an extension project from file explorer and select a workspace I am missing the \bin\AnyCPU\Debug folder containing the mez file.

The project looks like that:

The extension complains accordingly:
Cannot find the file set to the powerquery.sdk.defaultExtension, open setting.json to ensure it got populated correctly.

What am I missing? Are there any log-Files created?
