Ignore line-prefix in corfu completion popup

Hi, I've been using (setq-default line-prefix " ") as a margin between line numbers and text. However, as this gets applied to the corfu popup, the completion candidates get misaligned and the popup contents get clipped on the right side by one character:

I've been able to work around this by setting the line prefix for each buffer only after corfu is loaded, i.e:

(setq-default line-prefix "")
(add-hook 'corfu-mode-hook (lambda () (setq line-prefix " ")))

as corfu seems to ignore changes in line-prefix post-load, but this seems fairly brittle. Is there a way to prevent the completion popup from applying line-prefix altogether?

Alternatively, is there a better way to separate line numbers from text content than using line-prefix?

You can adjust corfu--buffer-parameters.
