Can not fully install Min

Expected Behavior

Min should fully install with all appropriate shortcuts so I can easily open it using the start menu.

Actual Behavior

Min installs, but there are no shortcuts.

To Reproduce

I installed Min and this is what has happened. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Min multiple times. but the issue is still present on this computer. I had no issues on other computers. Even after uninstalling my previous browsing history is still present in future installs.

Can you try right-clicking on the installer and using the "run as administrator" option?

If you do a search from the start menu, does it show up in the results?

Your browsing history is stored in C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Min; there shouldn't be any need to delete that though unless you want to.

I have this issue too; in the new version of Windows 11, the installation does not create a shortcut in the Start menu or on the desktop, and when I search for the name in the Start menu, it does not show up. I also tried 'Run as Administrator,' but the issue still persists.

No change. I just tried reinstalling it by 'Run As Administrator' multiple times. I uninstalled everything, used a program to try to delete any leftovers. I tried the 1.33.1 and the 1.34.1 installer. I tried older installers too.

I have two computers and I was able to easily install 1.33.1 on the other computer without any issues.

If you do a search from the start menu, does it show up in the results? No, I only find the installer in the search results. But everything is installed, just no shortcuts which makes it very difficult to easily run it with something like PowerToy run or Flow Launcher or I would just manually make my own shortcuts.
