Apache crashing with this module enabled

After upgrading from Debian 8.1 to Debian 9.5 and updating Apache to version 2.4.34 Apache crashes on the first page request. When I change 1 config line (comment the line where the module is loaded) it works again.

Similar problems on Fedora 30. I'm getting the signal 6 aborted and I've pretty much narrowed it down to mod_ruid2 being enabled.

Having the same issue on CentOS 8.

a bit late to the party but it seems to work with mpm_prefork
