If the casing is PascalCasing as with many more icons, then the correct spelling should be:

FormatTextdirectionLToRIcon => FormatTextDirectionLtrIcon
FormatTextdirectionRToLIcon => FormatTextDirectionRtlIcon

The reason we're asking for this, is because we have created a mini-tool for our panel to optimize icons, and we count on casing to build the correct path, and that tool fails for these icons. We can create exceptions in our code, but I think the right way is for you to fix the casing.

The d in Textdirection should become capitalized => TextDirection
And also the Ltr and Rtl are both known acronyms

Either new icons can be introduced while keeping the old icons, or in case of case-sensitivity (which I'm not sure new Windows versions support), the casing can be fixed (still having new icons) while the old casing still works.

@ZeeshanTamboli @Nefcanto I'm sort of against it. Not because it does not make sense, but because of the consistency with Google's material icons. I would aim for the exact match in terms of naming. For example, Format Textdirection L To R is the Material icon, and we should have the same one.

@silviuaavram that's so unfortunate. I asked 5 LLMs, all said the correct casing is TextDirection and Textdirection is wrong. An engineer at Google has made a mistake in casing, and now the whole world should suffer and adapt. That's not the right path to go.

I think the right path is to echo this upstream until it's fixed at the source, and meanwhile "break the chain of wrongness" anywhere we can.
